BAC 167 STRIKEMASTER Mk88
Come for the Adventure Joy Flight of a lifetime in our ex NZ Airforce BAC 167 Strikemaster Mk88 Jet Fighter. The BAC 167 Strikemaster Mk88 is an armed version of the Jet Provost T Mk 5; the Strikemaster was modified with an up-rated engine, wing hardpoints, a strengthened airframe, new communication and navigation gear, up-rated ejection seats, a revised fuel system, and shortened landing gear. First flown in 1967, the aircraft was marketed as a light attack or counter-insurgency aircraft, but most large scale purchasers were air forces wanting an advanced trainer although Ecuador Oman and Yemen have used their aircraft in combat. A total of 146 were built and approximately 11 are still flying.
Our Strikemaster is from No. 14 Squadron of the RNZAF. No. 14 Squadron took up the role of advanced training. It briefly operated a small number four two-seat A-4 Skyhawks and two-seat T.11 Vampires before re-equipping with 16 BAC 167 Strikemasters in 1972. The Strikemasters were replaced by 18 Aermacchi MB 339s in 1991.
With a 100% safety record and 100% customer satisfaction guarantee this is another good reason to choose the proven industry leaders in Jet Adventure Flight Operations.
